Community Work

At Heathfield, we think it is important for pupils to value and help their local and wider community, in order for pupils to understand that they can help others and therefore make a difference to our world.

Therefore, throughout the year the school fundraisers and supports many different charities. From collecting food and resources for the local charity 'The Upper Room' during Harvest time, selling poppies and poppy merchandise for the 'Royal British Legion', bringing a teddy into school for a £1 donation for 'Children in Need', to filling wellies with pennies for the RNLI. As well of this, KS2 children write to and visit residents in a local care home - Dalemead. This includes sending Christmas cards and singing to residents throughout the year.
