Curriculum Overview

In order to ensure that all stakeholders have a clear understanding of how the curriculum is constructed and delivered, Heathfield Schools' Partnership interprets intent, implementation and impact in their documentation as follows::


A statement that describes the over-arching learning intentions in each subject area that will ensure that all leaners, particular those with SEN, acquire the knowledge and cultural capital they need to succeed in life.


  1. Information that summarises how each subject is taught in the separate key stages.
  2. Progression documents which explain the skills, knowledge and end points for each subject.
  3. An outline of the teaching pedagogy that unpins how subjects are implemented.
